Fault In Our Stars

I think.. I think about love.. I think about life... I think about my passion and I think about my wife.. I think about the meetings.. I think about her charm.. I think about the dreams and I think about that farm... The farm used to have a tree in the middle, we used to sit and cook on a griddle.. While sitting and eating, we used to plan.. Under the sun, she used to get a tan.. Lying on my lap, she used to say.. Love me more and make me stay... Running behind her, I used to fall.. She used to laugh and I used to crawl... I knew one day, she has to go.. The laughs will fade so I wanted it slow... And then one day, she left me alone.. it blew me up, without backbone... Sitting near her grave, today I think... the moments we spent together, will never sink... Tears roll down as I write her name, she gave me strength, she gave me flame.. Walking alone down the street, I think about her eyes.. I think about the time and how it flies... She must be happy, up in the sky, I don't have a choice but just to sigh... I think about love.. I think about life... I think about my passion and I think about my wife.. Love has got no boundaries, no bars.. But definitely, there was a fault in our stars...

When I Became Your's

Sitting on a chair and thinking about you.. Thinking about the reasons that got me blue.. All chit chats and the fights that we do.. Little do I say, as I don't have a clue.. Why do we fight when we love even more, to get the answer I dig my core.. Core says baby it happens when you love, keep the ego aside and him all above... Keeping things in place, I said to myself; core is right and I will excel.. Pick up the phone and drop him a message.. Walk down the street and through the terrace.. Agreeing to the core, I ran towards his home.. People were astonished as I forgot to comb...
My head got a spin when I saw him coming, forgot all the pain and started humming.. I gave him a hug and forgot all the stress, I guess he smiled and looked at my dress... Laughing he said what's up with the red skirt, oh well, I said, it's to skip the dirt... Laughing down the street, we went back home, promising he said I won't leave you alone... Then I realized something about life, it requires passion to keep it alive... Not all is about moments of joy and love.. its also about moments of fear and shove.. That's how I perceive it now, live and love freely and take a bow...

Aansuon ki aad me....

Aansuon ki aad me tera pyaar nikaal raha hun
Likh Likh k kore kagaz pe teri yaadein utaar raha hun
Tere gam me itna pighal gaya hun
Khud to jal raha hun
Auron ko bhi jala raha hun..

Jaane kyun ab bhi sochta hun tujhe
Jaane kyun ab bhi tere sapne dekhta hun
Jaanta hun ab tu mere sapno me nahi
Phir bhi na jane kyun apne sapne tod raha hun main..

Tujhe pane ki chahat me
Tere aane k intezaar me
Ro ro k dekh ye raatein guzaar raha hun main..

Khud se hi kuch yun tanha hun main
Khud se hi yun rootha hun
Khud se hi ab ye poochta hun
Teri yaadein me kyun dooba hun

Tujhko ko to kabse bhula dia
Tere har khat ko ab to jala dia
Fir bhi yaadon ko teri, sang sang liye chal raha hun..

Kehne ko ab kuch nahi hai
Fir kya kahun tujhse
Janta hun teri khata nahi hai
Phir kyu gila karun tujhse

Ye teri nahi ye meri galti thi,
Isiliye apne san sang liye ja raha hun
Khud to jal raha hun auron ko bhi jala raha hun

Likh likh ke is kore kagaz pe teri yaadein utaar raha hun…

Facts Behind Our National Anthem!

Facts about "Jana Gana Mana" - Just a thought for the National Anthem!

How well do you know about it?

I have always wondered who is the "adhinayak" and "bharat bhagya vidhata", whose praise we are singing. I thought might be Motherland India!

Our current National Anthem "Jana Gana Mana" is sung throughout the country.

Did you know the following about our national anthem, I didn't.

To begin with, India's national anthem, Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka, was written by Rabindranath Tagore in honor of King George V and the Queen of England when they visited India in 1919. To honor their visit Pandit Motilal Nehru had the five stanzas included, which are in praise of the King and queen. (And most of us think it is in the praise of our great motherland!!!)

In the original Bengali verses only those provinces that were under British rule, i.e. Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, Maratha etc. were mentioned. None of the princely states were recognized which are integral parts of India now Kashmir, Rajasthan, Andhra, Mysore or Kerala. Neither the Indian Ocean nor the Arabian Sea was included, since they were directly under Portuguese rule at that time. The Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka implies that King George V is the lord of the masses and Bharata Bhagya Vidhata is "the bestower of good fortune". Following is a translation of the five stanzas that glorify the King:

First stanza: (Indian) People wake up remembering your good name and ask for your blessings and they sing your glories. (Tava shubha naame jaage;tava shubha aashish maage, gaaye tava jaya gaatha)

Second stanza: Around your throne people of all religions come and give their love and anxiously wait to hear your kind words.

Third stanza: Praise to the King for being the charioteer, for leading the ancient travelers beyond misery.

Fourth stanza: Drowned in the deep ignorance and suffering, poverty-stricken, unconscious country? Waiting for the wink of your eye and your mother's (the Queen's) true protection.

Fifth stanza: In your compassionate plans, the sleeping Bharat(India)will wake up. We bow down to your feet O' Queen, and glory to Rajeshwara (the King).

This whole poem does not indicate any love for the Motherland but depicts a bleak picture. When you sing Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka, whom are you glorifying? Certainly not the Motherland. Is it God? The poem does not indicate that.It is time now to understand the original purpose and the implication of this, rather than blindly sing as has been done the past fifty years. Nehru chose the present national anthem as opposed to Vande Mataram because he thought that it would be easier for the band to play!!! It was an absurd reason but Today for that matter bands have advanced and they can very well play any music.

So they can as well play Vande Mataram, which is a far better composition in praise of our dear

Motherland -India.Wake up, it's high time!
Shouldn't Vande Mataram be our National Anthem?

Vo Maza Hi Kuch Aur Tha...

Teri har baat ka maza kuch aur tha
teri har mulakat ka maza kuch aur tha.
Tere sath rehne ka, Tere paas rehne ka, tere har baar rehne ka maza kuch aur tha..

Tujhe khoya, Fir paya aur pa ke fir kho dia,
Is paa ke khone ka andaaz hi kuch aur tha.
Is aane jane ke beech un hasti khelti baaton ka,
Vo do pal sath bitane ka maza hi kuch aur tha…

Jab chaha tujhe, tu tha nahi
Jab maanga tujhe, tu mila nahi
Tera yun mujhe chhod jane ka maza kuch aur tha…

Khush to main tab bhi tha
Khush to main ab bhi hun
Par tera mujhe rulane ka maza hi kuch aur tha..

Vo raaton ko jagane ka,
Har baat pe tujhe chidane ka
Vo chhup chhup ke tuje dekhna
Aur dekh ke yun muskurane ka maza hi kuch aur tha..

Tera man hi man has jane ka
Mujhse yun sharmane ka,
Vo tera tera yun chhoo jane ka maza hi kuch aur tha..

Tu sath nahi hai ab mere,
Fir bhi tujhe soche jane ka,
Teri yaadon me kho jane ka,
Tujhse mera yun mil jane ka maza hi kuch tha..
Tujhe baar baar bulana ka,
Lad ke bhi pyaar jatane ka,
Har baat me sath nibhane ka maza hi kuch aur tha..

Tu ab bhi mere sath hai,
Teri yaadein mere paas hain,
Khush to main  tab bhi tha,
Khush to main ab bhi hun,

Par Tera sath paane ka ae-dost maza hi kuch aur tha….

'Sardarji Barah Baj gaye' (Sir it's 12 o'clock!)

It is easy to joke on a Sardar, but it is too difficult to be a Sardar.

I was standing at Jalandhar station when my attention went towards a Sikh youth standing near me wearing a Black turban having a long beard and wearing a kirpan over his shirt.

After a while, one local train arrived, which was totally packed. The Sikh youth tried to alight the train but failed to do so. Just then a voice was heard from the back coach 'Sardarji Barah Baj gaye' (Sir it's 12 o'clock!)

The Sikh youth looked over at that voice maker who was a young Mischievous type of person and instead of showing any anger made a smile towards him.

The smile made was so enigmatic that it seemed as if some type of truth lies behind it. Not able to resist my temptation, I walked towards him and asked why did he smile at that person who teased him.

The Sikh youth replied, 'He was not teasing me but was asking for my Help'. I was surprised with these words and he told me that there was a big history behind that which one should know. I was eager to know the History and the Sikh youth narrated:

During 17th Century, when Hindustan was ruled by Mughals, all the Hindu people were humiliated and were treated like animals. Mughals treated the Hindu women as there own property and were forcing all Hindus to accept Islam and even used to kill the people if they were refusing to accept. That time, our ninth Guru, Sri Guru Teg Bahadarji came forward, in response to a request of some Kashmir Pandits to fight against all these cruel activities.

Guruji told the Mughal emperor that if he could succeed in converting him to Islam, all the Hindus would accept the same. But, if he failed, he should stop all those activities. The Mughal emperor happily agreed to that but even after lots of torture to Guruji and his fellow members he failed to convert him to Islam and Guruji along with his other four fellow members, were tortured and sacrificed their lives in Chandni Chowk. Since the Mughals were unable to convert them to Islam they were assassinated.

Thus Guruji sacrificed his life for the protection of Hindu religion.

Can anybody lay down his life and that too for the protection of another religion?
This is the reason he is still remembered as "Hind Ki Chaddar", shield of India. For the sake of whom he had sacrificed his life, none of them came forward to lift his body, fearing that they would also be assassinated.

Seeing this incident our 10th Guruji, Sri Guru Gobind Singhji (Son of Guru Teg Bahadarji) founder of khalsa made a resolution that he would convert his followers to such human beings who would not be able to hide themselves and could be easily located in thousands. At the start, the Sikhs were very few in numbers as they were fighting against the Mughal emperors. At that time, Nadir Shah raided Delhi in the year 1739 and looted Hindustan and was carrying lot of Hindustan treasures and nearly 2200 Hindu women along with him. The news spread like a fire and was heard by Sardar Jassa Singh who was the Commander of the Sikh army at that time. He decided to attack Nadir Shah's Kafila on the same midnight. He did so and rescued all the Hindu women and they were safely sent to their homes.

It didn't happen only once but thereafter whenever any Abdaalis or Iranis had attacked and looted Hindustan and were trying to carry the treasures and Hindu women along with them for selling them in Abdal markets, the Sikh army although fewer in numbers but were brave hearted and attacked them at midnight, 12 O'clock and rescued women.

After that time when there occurred a similar incidence, people started to contact the Sikh army for their help and Sikhs used to attack the raider's at Midnight, 12 O'clock. Nowadays, these "smart people" and some Sikh enemies who are afraid of Sikhs, have spread these words that at 12 O'clock, the Sikhs go out of their senses. This historic fact was the reason which made me smile over that person as I thought that his Mother or Sister would be in trouble and wants my help and was reminding me by saying off 'Sardarji Barah Baj Gaye'.
